My D.I.Y fun toddler game part 2- smiley sorting faces game!

Share Tweet to @mummykindoff Who doesn’t love smiley faces?! I’ve dabbled with trying to show Imogen the names of different colours. We’ve got books with them in and she’s got coloured shape sorting toys but I realised that colours isn’t something we have really looked at through play. Imogen really loves sorting things and putting […]

My D.I.Y. fun toddler games part 1

Share Tweet to @mummykindoff As you will see from my other blogs, I’m a big fan of ‘make do and mend’ and ‘do-it-yourself’ crafts, to save some pennies. I did buy my daughter some flashcards from an online shop, with a number of different pictures and words on, (which she really likes), but I thought […]

Why can’t we just all play nicely together?

Share Tweet to @mummykindoff I was out for a walk with my toddler daughter in her pushchair. It was a fairly warm and sunny day. We checked the roads were clear of cars to cross when we spotted a play park. I was so amazed I hadn’t realised it was there before, having lived in […]

Mummy and Baby bears’ porridge

Share Tweet to @mummykindoff There’s been frost on the cars in the morning and a chill in the air, I can’t wait for the warmth of Spring. But there’s no reason why you can’t enjoy snuggling up in the mornings with a nice warming bowl of porridge, that both mumma and baby bear can enjoy, […]

I’ve planned some Christmas activities for my little one for the month of December. But what do you do when you don’t want to give your toddler any new things to […]

What is this thing you call ‘sleep’?

Share Tweet to @mummykindoff Sleeping through the night… It is that one thing us parents all desire. Yet we still don’t feel refreshed when we finally get it. It quite simply seemed to me that my baby was the one and only child that wasn’t sleeping through the night. Every parent I spoke to was […]

Baby Bonding Guilt

Share Tweet to @mummykindoff When you’re pregnant, people try to prepare you for the birth. They tell you about their birth stories, some of which may be more like horror stories to a first time pregnant mum! They ask you your birthing plan. They even tell you that you won’t sleep properly again, or at […]

My breastfeeding story

During my pregnancy breastfeeding was the only option I wanted for my baby, well for the first few months at least. My mum had bought me a steriliser, bottles, the teats, the bottle brush and although I was ever so grateful, in the back of my mind I thought “I want to breastfeed, so these won’t be useful… or at least not for a while.”

No Second Thoughts

Concentration is a thing of the past. Long gone are the days I could recall information. I’m pretty sure that when people have conversations with me that my eyes are glazed over and I just smile and nod in agreement.
